On October 12, 2026, Australian business outlet Capital Brief reported that two of the world's largest dedicated AI porn and erotic-companion platforms, OurDream and Candy AI, are both tied to Sydney's tech scene. According to Capital Brief, each draws roughly 45 to 50 million visits a month. That places them behind general roleplay giants JanitorAI and SpicyChat but ahead of most direct rivals.

Why It Matters

This is one of the clearest public views of the economics of AI adult content: a team of fewer than 20 serving millions of users, self-reported 6× revenue growth, and enough margin to pay big-tech salaries. Generative companionship and personalised erotica are now a real category with real infrastructure. Most of the incumbent adult industry, which is still tied to studios, performers and card-network rules, is not the one building it. It also creates regulatory and reputational exposure. Australia already runs one of the world's strictest online-safety regimes (see our [Pornhub age-verification coverage](/stories/australia-blocks-pornhub-age-verification)). U.S. states and the EU are writing companion-bot rules that focus on minors, disclosure and dependency. Dreamerlabs' "no user uploads" and in-house moderation stance reads as a response to the deepfake and nudification crackdown, but those are self-reported controls that have not been independently audited. For investors, the takeaways are low headcount, high traffic and profitability, and the fact that the main risks are payments, age assurance and policy rather than technology.

OurDream is built by a small Sydney team now trading as Dreamerlabs, which Capital Brief says was until recently known publicly as Coreflow. Capital Brief reports that the company says it is profitable and is advertising engineering packages worth as much as $800,000. Dreamerlabs' own recruiting site backs up the outline: "Fewer than 20 people. Millions of users." It also says the company is "under 2 years old, profitable from the start, with revenue up 6× in the last year." The site says the company runs models on "hundreds of our own GPUs" across several bare-metal providers and that its engineers have come from Meta, Canva, Immutable and Rokt. It promises "top of market" pay plus equity for in-person roles in Sydney. Its job listings are still hosted under the Coreflow name. The site addresses the career question directly ("ourdream.ai is an adult product. What does that mean for my career?"). It describes in-house moderation models, a moderation team that was its first hire after the founders, and no user uploads on any of its platforms. It also says it has "removed the requirement for human code review."

The second platform, Candy AI, is run remotely by Alexis Soulopoulos, the Sydney-based former co-founder of pet-care marketplace Mad Paws. He now leads EverAI, according to Capital Brief. Candy AI's terms of service list the operator as EverAI Limited, registered in Malta (company C107181). The terms describe AI-generated characters, images, videos and voice notes, and state that all exchanges with characters are "entirely fictional." Capital Brief contacted Coreflow but got no response before publication.
