On September 7, 2026, Altitude Intimates announced Altitude Market, a new two-day fall buying event for intimate apparel and adult retail suppliers, set for September 16-17, 2027 at Paris Las Vegas. It is positioned explicitly as a complement to — not a second edition of — the established three-day Altitude Intimates show held each March, whose 2027 flagship runs March 17-19 at the same venue.

Why It Matters

The pleasure-products trade calendar has been in open reconstruction for six weeks. ANME — the Adult Novelty Manufacturers Expo, the industry's longest-running B2B show — announced on August 27 that its 30-year run had ended, weeks after holding its 30th anniversary edition. SZI Expo, the new Shenzhen show, postponed from September 2026 to March 5-7, 2027 over government restrictions tied to APEC preparations. Sex Expo announced a January 2027 return to Los Angeles after a long hiatus. Asia Adult Expo ran in Hong Kong in late August; XBIZ Amsterdam and X3 Europe run September 10-13. Into that churn, Altitude is claiming the vacated fall slot on the US calendar. That matters more than a date on a conference schedule because of what the sector's own operators have been saying about the sales environment. Kiiroo US sales manager Kate Kozlova argued on September 3 that brands are still benchmarking against unrepeatable post-pandemic numbers, that declining existing-customer revenue has to be replaced with new-customer acquisition, and — pointedly — that trade shows can no longer be a manufacturer's entire B2B strategy. Altitude's answer is a show stripped of everything except order writing, which is arguably the same diagnosis from the other direction: if the industry can't afford discovery theatre, sell it a purchasing checkpoint instead. For independent brick-and-mortar retailers, who have spent 2026 squeezed by tariffs, mass-retail encroachment from CVS and Walmart, and wholesale price pressure, a second annual window to write orders against fall and holiday merchandise is a genuinely useful piece of infrastructure. Whether a 2027 date announced eighteen months out survives a consolidating calendar is the open question.

The organization is being unusually blunt about the format's purpose. "Altitude Market is not a second Altitude Intimates show," the announcement states. Where the March gathering combines product discovery with networking and broader industry engagement, the fall event concentrates on commerce: seasonal introductions and order writing in a condensed two-day window for brands, manufacturers, distributors and retail buyers.

The Altitude Board of Managers framed it as responding to years of requests. "Over the past several years, members of the industry have asked Altitude to create an additional buying opportunity later in the year," the board said, adding that protecting the March show's identity was a design constraint: "We have always been protective of what makes the March show special, and Altitude Market is not intended to duplicate it. It is designed to meet a different need — a focused fall marketplace where qualified buyers and suppliers can connect, review new products and conduct business efficiently."

The timing is not incidental. A September event lands almost exactly six months after the flagship, giving manufacturers introducing fall and holiday merchandise, distributors planning seasonal inventory, and retailers evaluating second-half assortments a face-to-face checkpoint in the part of the year that actually drives Q4 sell-through.
